Garry commenced his career in the Real Estate industry back in 1981 as a salesperson. In 1991 Garry became an associate of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand. Garry served two separate terms as the Taranaki District President, the first being in 1994.
Garry has served as an REINZ district member for the past 30 years and in 2002 was appointed a fellow of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand. For the past 30 years Garry has been in Real Estate management roles participating in the recruitment and development of Real Estate salespeople. In July 2004, Garry and his wife Maree opened their RE/MAX office in New Plymouth with just 3 salespeople and 1 administrator. The team has grown and now has 16 staff (sales associates & administrators) working for RE/MAX Team Realty.
RE/MAX Team Realty has always been in the top 3 Individual Offices for RE/MAX New Zealand since 2005 and has been named Top Office for a number of these. Garry believes that by surrounding yourself with good salespeople, good administration staff and quality properties you are halfway to having a good Real Estate operation. Garry has been awarded RE/MAX New Zealand Broker Owner of the Year six times and was also awarded RE/MAX International Broker Owner (single office) of the Year in 2013.
